Pakistan Team for Asia Cup: Misbah-ul-Haq (capt), Nasir Jamshed, Mohammad Hafeez, Azhar Ali, Hammad Azam, Asad Shafiq, Shahid Afridi, Younis Khan, Saeed Ajmal, Abdur Rehman, Umar Akmal, Umar Gul, Sarfraz Ahmed (wk), Wahab Riaz and Aizaz Cheema.

Pakistan is one of the main contenders of the Asia Cup 2012. Pakistan squad Team for the Asia Cup 2012 did not make any big surprises.  Shoaib Malik, Adnan Akmal and Imran Farhat have been ruled out from the Pakistan squad for Asia Cup 2012. Wicketkeeper Sarfraz Ahmed and Nasir Jamshed has got a chance in the Pakistan Team squad. Fast bowler Junaid Khan has not been selected due to his knee injury.


Malik, 30, was controversially selected for last month’s one-day and Twenty20 series against England despite being not in the best of form. Pakistan lost the ODIs 4-0 and T20 series 2-1, leading to calls for an overhaul of the team.

Misbahul Haq will lead the squad despite calls for his axing after he failed to win the last Twenty20 in Abu Dhabi when he was bowled off the final delivery, leaving England victorious by five runs
