Kolkata Knight Riders wins IPL 5, KKR v CSK IPL 2012 Final Scorecard

CSK V KKR IPL 5 Final KKR wins IPL 2012
An electrified MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai wa sfilled to capacity to support the men in yellow lift the Indian Premier League trophy for the third time. But it was Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)who won the IPL for the first time at the home turf of two-time winners, Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

Purple is the colour of the Indian Premier League 2012 and the Kolkata Knight riders (KKR) are the new Kings. There are a whole host of new heroes who made this possible: The unheralded Manvinder Singh Bisla, the legendary Jacques Kallis, Shakib Al Hasan, and Kolkata's own Manoj Tiwary.

First it was Murali Vijay and then Suresh Raina and Michael Hussey who lead Chennai Super Kings (CSK) attack against the visitors Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)who. Vijay (42 off 32), Raina (73 off 38) and Hussey (54 off 43) powered CSK to a daunting total against KKR. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) seemed to be on a roll earlier last night as they hammered 190-3 in 20 overs against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Each of them played like they owned the stage as Shah Rukh Khan's Knight Riders (KKR) notched up an unbelievable win with two balls to spare.

A chase of 191 is thought to be out of bounds when you are playing at the Chepauk against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL  Final 2012, and when skipper Gautam Gambhir got out in the first over in IPL Final 2012, it seemed Chennai Super Kings (CSK) were well on their way to making it a hat-trick of titles winning IPL 5 final.

But Bisla came out of nowhere and started hitting every single bowler on view in IPL final. Bisla didn't know till Saturday evening whether he would be playing the IPL final. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) took a big gamble by playing him ahead of Brendon McCullum and the Haryana batsman was an absolute revelation.

With the pitch staying good for batting, Bisla simply put his foot out of the way and continued to hit through the line. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bowlers were left clueless. Then there was Kallis at the other end top contend with. The South African looked rock solid and it seemed that he knew he was eager to win the game on his own.

But when he got out with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). still needing 16 off 11 balls, CSK were in with a chance. Dhoni started playing his standard tricks, taking time between deliveries and making the pressure unbearable for every single soul on the ground!

But it was destined to be KKR's night. Shakib survived a close call when Billy Bowden called a no-ball for a waist-high full toss off Ben HIlfenhaus. Shakib hit a boundary off the next ball and it was down to nine off the last over.

Bravo was a picture of confidence coming into bowl, but so was Tiwary. Two brilliant boundaries and the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). was on top the world with two balls to spare.

Earlier, when Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batted, it was again the brilliant batting unit that came to the fore in the IPL 5 final. While M Vijay (42 off 32 balls)and Mike Hussey gave them the dream start, opening pair put on 87 runs in 10.2 overs,  Raina (71 off 36 balls) played his best innings of the IPL 2012 and took his team to a position of strength.

TWISTS AND TURNS

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) race to 190/3 as Suresh Raina comes good with 38-ball 73.

Player of the season Sunil Narine gets just one of the first 13 overs, which allows Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batsman to get into groove. Ends with 0/37.

Gambhir, IPL 5's second-highest run scorer with 590 runs, falls early. But Manvinder Bisla (89) and Jacques Kallis (69) post 136-run stand to swing match back for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Michael Hussey catches a Kallis slog sweep but topples over boundary as a dismissal turns into a six on the last ball of the 16th over
Kallis holes out off a Hilfenhaus full toss in the second-last ball of the 19th over as Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) seem to be choking on the brink of victory.

With Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) needing 16 runs off 7 balls, Shakib al-Hasan is caught off Hilfenhaus but it's called a no-ball for being above waist height and the batsmen run 2. Shakib then hits a 4 as a single ball costs CSK 7 runs.

Batting at No. 7, Manoj Tiwary (9 runs off 3 balls) finishes off match in final over.

Usain Bolt wins 100m European season opener, preparing for London Olympics 2012

Usain Bolt wins 100m race
London Olympics 2012 are near and these few final championships are opportunity for the great athletes to take psychological advantage over other.

Usain Bolt entered European track for the same purpose to take some psychological advantage before the beginning of London Olympics 2012.

Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt has overcome a poor start to comfortably win the 100m at a meet in the Czech Republic town of Ostrava. In this European track season opener on Friday, Usain Bolt clocked 10.04sec in the 100m which he described  "very bad day at the starting blocks".

The double Olympic sprint gold medalist Usain Boltfrom the 2008 Beijing Games overcame a dreadful start at the second time of asking and into a -0.8m/s headwind and grimaced his way from the 50m mark, the long-legged Jamaican opening up a lead on his rivals to the line.

Veteran Kim Collins of St Kitts and St Nevis came second in 10.19sec with American Darivs Patton third in 10.22.

"I don't really know what went on," said Bolt, who added that he hadn't run as badly as this one since an outing in Canada back in 2009.

The Jamaican revolutionised sprinting, and indeed athletics, four years ago in Beijing, setting world records when winning the 100 and 200m titles, and also starring in a record-breaking Jamaican quartet in the 4x100m relay.

The 25-year-old Jamaican left the Chinese capital as one of the most recognisable figures in world sport, unbelievably going on to beat both his individual sprint marks with new times (9.58 and 19.19sec) in the Berlin worlds in 2009.

He lost his world 100m title in Daegu, South Korea, last July to compatriot Yohann Blake after sensationally false starting in the final.

But with track and field set to again take centre stage at this summer's London Olympics, the world's largest sporting event, Bolt may not have delighted fans, sponsors and meet organisers alike with his performance here but as he said, a win is a win.

Briton Dwain Chambers, who has served a drugs ban and is now cleared to race in the Olympics after the Court for Arbitration in Sport (CAS) overturned a British Olympic Association bylaw that banned doping cheats for life, recorded 10.28sec, missing the Olympic qualification time of 10.18.

And on other hand two time defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) entered playoffs with luck but stormed into the finals beating Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi dare Devils (DDD) comprehensively.

It is Dhoni v Gambhir in the finals. Can Gambhir will be able to lead Kolkata Knight Riders to the ultimate victory. Or it's going to be Mr. cool Mahendra Singh Dhoni's yet another IPL Title winning 3rd in a row with IPL 5 crown n Indian Premier League 2012 final.

Both Kolkata Knight riders (KKR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is full with match winners. Captain Gautam Gambhir, Jacques Kallis, Brett Lee, Brendon McCullum, Sunil Narine, Yusuf Pathan and Manoj Tiwary these players can change the course of the match any time for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). They can Help Shahrukh Khan (SRK) to lift his first trophy after a bitter incident at Mumbai stadium and can make Kolkata proud.

As far as Chennai is concerned Captain cool is there to lead the way and Ravichandran Ashwin, Subramaniam Badrinath, Doug Bollinger, Dwayne Bravo, Michael Hussey, Ravindra Jadeja, Albie Morkel, and Suresh Raina in the team are more than enough to rattle any side of IPL 5.
