Petra Kvitova wins Wimbledon 2011 women's Final by beating Maria Sharapova


It was the biggest moment in the career of Czech Republic girl Petra Kvitova when she beat Maria Sharapova to win her first grand slam title and non other than Wimbledon 2011 itself. Petra Kvitova beat Maria Sharapova in the Wimbledon 2011 women’s final by 6-3, 6-4. Everyone was expecting a thrilling Maria Sharapova v Petra Kvitova Wimbledon 2011 women’s final to be a thrilling one and indeed it was.


Maria Sharapova must be disappointed with herself after reaching the Wimbledon 2011 women’s Final she was the hot favorite most of people were expecting her to win the Wimbledon 2011 women’s Champion crown. But Petra Kvitova had other plans. She displayed a great game of tennis by breaking Maria Sharapova once in the first set and eventually winning it 6-3. And breaking Maria Sharapova serve in first game of the second set which she won 6-4.

Petra Kvitova won the match and championship by final score of 6-3, 6-4. She became new Wimbledon women’s Champion.
