 Sri Lanka squad for Asia Cup 2012: Mahela Jayawardene (capt), Angelo Mathews (vice-capt), Tillakaratne Dilshan, Upul Tharanga, Kumar Sangakkara, Dinesh Chandimal, Lahiru Thirimanne, Thisara Perera, Farveez Maharoof, Sachithra Senanayake, Nuwan Kulasekara, Lasith Malinga, Seekkuge Prasanna, Suranga Lakmal

Sri Lanka's off-spinner Seekkuge Prasanna gets a berth in the squad for Rangana Herath, while pacer Suranga Lakmal makes a comeback after recovering from an injury.

Three all-rounders, Farveez Maharoof, Angelo Mathews and Thisara Perera who picked up injuries during the tri-series are also included in the 14-member squad.

Sri Lanka will play their first match against India on March 13, 2012. Sri Lanka was beaten badly by team India in their last meeting at Australia. Sri Lanka will be eyeing on this Asia Cup 2012 opening encounter to settle the scores.

Pakistan Team for Asia Cup: Misbah-ul-Haq (capt), Nasir Jamshed, Mohammad Hafeez, Azhar Ali, Hammad Azam, Asad Shafiq, Shahid Afridi, Younis Khan, Saeed Ajmal, Abdur Rehman, Umar Akmal, Umar Gul, Sarfraz Ahmed (wk), Wahab Riaz and Aizaz Cheema.

Pakistan is one of the main contenders of the Asia Cup 2012. Pakistan squad Team for the Asia Cup 2012 did not make any big surprises.  Shoaib Malik, Adnan Akmal and Imran Farhat have been ruled out from the Pakistan squad for Asia Cup 2012. Wicketkeeper Sarfraz Ahmed and Nasir Jamshed has got a chance in the Pakistan Team squad. Fast bowler Junaid Khan has not been selected due to his knee injury.

Malik, 30, was controversially selected for last month’s one-day and Twenty20 series against England despite being not in the best of form. Pakistan lost the ODIs 4-0 and T20 series 2-1, leading to calls for an overhaul of the team.

Misbahul Haq will lead the squad despite calls for his axing after he failed to win the last Twenty20 in Abu Dhabi when he was bowled off the final delivery, leaving England victorious by five runs

Asia Cup is near all Asian teams are gearing up for the tournament and some of them have already announced their team squad for the tournament. Bangladesh so called minows have als announced their team squad for Asia Cup.

Anamul Haque, Nazimuddin, Mashrafe Mortaza, Jahurul Islam, Shahadat Hossain are in the Bangladesh team side and Shahriar Nafees, Alok Kapali, Rubel Hossain, Naeem Islam did not made it to the Final Bangladesh squad Team for the Asia Cup.
