Novak Djokovic wins Austrlian Open 2012, Beats Rafael Nadal in the epic Australian Open Final



Novak Djokovic wins Australian Open 2012 title. Defanding Champion and World no.1 Novak Djokovic beats Rafael Nadal in a epic match in Australian Open men’s Final 2012.

Top seed Novak djokovic beat second seed Rafael Nadal 5-7, 6-4, 6-2, 6-7, 7-5 in a five hour and 53 minutes match.

This is Djokovic’s fifth grand slam title including third Australian Open title which Novak has already won in 2008 and 2011.

Serbian star Novak Djokovic has dominated his Spanish counterpart Rafael Nadal in all last meetings as Djokovic beats Nadal seventh time in the row and all in the finals.  

This Australian Open Final becomes longest match of the tournament history by bbreaking the record of 5hr 15 min. long match. This final also becomes the longest Grand Slam Final ever played beating the record of 4hr 54min long 1988 US Open Final played between Mats Wilander and Ivan Lendl.

Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek  won Australian Open men’s doubles title as they defeated the top seeds Bryan brothers of America who were searching for their  record 12th men's Grand Slam doubles title on Saturday .
Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek  won in straight sets 7-6 (7/1), 6-2 and this was the first victory for Paes over top seeds American twins Bob and Mike Bryan in a final after five defeats in title matches. Leander Paes also completes his career Grand Slam of doubles titles with this Australian open final victory.
Before this Australian Open 2012 the Indian doubles specialist Leander Paes had won 47 career doubles titles with 11 different partners, including one with Stepanek, who now claims his first Grand Slam doubles title.
"I know what this means for him (Paes) because this title was missing from his career Grand Slam, and I'm happy I can be by his side," Stepanek said.
First set was very tight with just a single break point for each pairing and no breaks of serve, but Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek  dominated the tie break to win it for 7-1.
And there was no looking back in the second set as  Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek  broke the Bryans' serve in the second game of the second set and won easily in the end.
This was Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek’s  fourth Tour-level event together, and they had lost to the Bryan brothers in straight sets in both their previous meetings.
The result means the Bryans remain on 11 titles, sharing the record for the number of men's titles in the open era with Australia's Todd Woodbridge and Mark Woodforde.

Manchester United vs Arsenal Barclays Premier League

Today Manchester united (Man-Utd) will take on Arsenal. The match will take place 9:30pm at Emirates Stadium. But there are certain top TV markets in the United States that won’t be showing match live on FOX affiliate because of a conflict with other programming scheduled for Sunday morning.
Nonetheless Man -Utd vs Arsenal  will be a great game to watch out for

New Castle united beat Man United 3-0

Man United faced another defeat as New Castle United trashed them 3-0.
Demba Ba was the first to score in the first half with his 15th league goal of the season . Soon after Yohan Cabaye made it 2-0 in the 47th from a free-kick. Man United's own goal from  A Phil Jones made sure that they were not going back. So with this lose Newcastle stayed seventh and a point behind Liverpool.

this is Man United's third defeat in last 20 matches. Still they stayed second on 45 points, Tottenham Hotspur is just 3 point behind them.

Michael Clarke Hits double century as India Struggles in 2nd Test at Sydney

Day 2 of 2nd Test between India and Australia, Its been a remarkable innings by Michael Clarke. The Aussie Captain hit his first double century as Australia finished at 482/4.

The Aussie never got troubled by any Indian bowler, as he cruised to his first double hundred. With India  already bundled out for 191 in first innings, the Aussie's are comfortable with a near 300 lead.
India had only success of Ricky Ponting, only after he had a ton to his name. Michael Clarke's double century meant he was at 251* at stumps. All eyes will be on him  as he inches closer to his triple century tomorrow.
